Commissioning update

Wagga Wagga Medicare Mental Health Centre update 

Medicare Mental Health Centre Wagga Wagga is now offering extended hours on Thursdays (9 am to 7 pm) and Saturdays (9 am to 1 pm) to provide support when it’s needed most. Located at 235-241 Baylis Street, Wagga Wagga, the Centre offers free mental health assistance to individuals aged 16 and over who are experiencing mental health issues, distress, or suicidal thoughts. No appointment, Medicare Card, or referral is required – simply walk in to receive support. 

Please note that Medicare Mental Health Centre Young is not currently offering extended hours. 

Enhancing Paediatrics in Primary Care update 

The Enhancing Pediatrics in Primary Care (EPiPC) program provides support to General Practitioners to care for children within the Murrumbidgee region who are experiencing behavioral and/or developmental concerns. This program employs a Community Pediatrician to provide an advisory support service to help GPs identify and appropriately manage these children within the primary care setting.
