Tom’s LHAC chat
Tom with the Gundagai LHAC.
Hey everyone,
It has been nice to see the start of warmer weather across the region, but with the seasonal changes comes possible challenges including increased drought conditions. We all need to mindful and look after each other.
October has been a busy month for me with lots of engagement activities including attending mental health walks, expos and community days. It was also great to visit Gundagai LHAC to support them with their community information session. I really enjoyed learning about some of the things they are doing including installing new TV’s displaying health, wellbeing and community service slideshows in high impact areas.
I also attended MPHNs staff NAIDOC cultural walking tour at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. This tour was great, learning lots of new information about the land I was born and raised on.
November brings the last LHAC Chair Sector meeting (11/11) and Community Advisory Committee meeting for 2025. The theme for these meetings is supporting the health and wellbeing of young people (16-24). I look forward to seeing as many LHAC representatives at the Sector meeting as possible.
Thanks for the chat,
Tom.
