Tom’s LHAC chat

Hi LHACs, 

I hope you all had a nice break over the holiday period and were able to spend quality time doing what you enjoy. 

Coming into the start of a new year I am really looking forward to working closely with our MPHN LHAC representatives and Marisha from the MLHD to support LHACs as best we can. 

The new year also brings fresh opportunities as we welcome many new Chairs to committees. This also opens space for fresh faces attending MPHNs LHAC Chair Sector meetings and for the Sector Chairs to attend MPHNs Community Advisory Committee. I would like to thank Matthew Clancy and Marilyn Wales who have given their time and commitment to both committees as representatives of their Sectors and have decided to step back from these roles for the new year.  

The next MPHN LHAC Chair Sector meeting will be on 24 February, 8:30 am - 10:00 am via teams with a focus on Palliative Care Needs in the Murrumbidgee region. I strongly encourage new and returning Chairs to attend the Sector meeting and I welcome nominations to become a Sector representative at the Community Advisory Committee. Sector representatives meet with other community health advocates and staff from MPHN to improve health outcomes across the Murrumbidgee.
