The NSW Public Health Unit currently has excess JEV vaccines available. If you have an immunisation event planned and would like to provide JEV vaccinations, please contact Alison Nikitas at Alison.Nikitas@health.nsw.gov.au.

Cervical Screening Primary Care Project
MPHN is working to raise awareness of cervical screening across the Murrumbidgee region, as participation rates remain below optimal levels in many local government areas. A particular focus is increasing participation in cervical screening, including self-collection, among First Nations and culturally diverse communities.
If your LHAC is aware of any events targeting priority populations where it would be appropriate for MPHN to host an information stall promoting cervical screening, please contact Toni Preuss at toni.preuss@mphn.org.au with details, including event dates and times.
Body Image and Eating Disorder Awareness Week 2026
Body Image and Eating Disorder Awareness Week runs from 7 to 13 September 2026, with the theme Redefining ‘Wellness’: Stories we’re sold about our health and bodies. The campaign encourages people to reflect on the messages they receive about health, appearance and wellbeing, and promotes a broader, more inclusive understanding of wellness that values mental wellbeing, body respect and supportive relationships with food and movement.
