The Wagga Wagga Health Service includes Wagga Wagga Base Hospital which provides acute services including a 24-hour emergency department, critical care, medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric, and rehabilitation care.
There is also an inpatient mental health unit and mental health community services.
A full range of allied health and support services such as dental, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, sexual health and violence prevention and response services are also provided.
Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN)
With the person at the centre of care, MPHN plans and delivers programs to suit the needs of our individual local communities. We achieve this by:
Coordinating local services and systems to improve coordination of care.
Commissioning primary health services to meet population health needs with a focus on access and equity.
Supporting capacity-building to ensure sustainable healthcare workforce through quality improvement, professional development and other innovative measures.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD)
MPHN works closely alongside MLHD, which operates 33 public hospitals, 12 community health centres, and is supported by 33 Local Health Advisory Committees.
