Are you a strategic leader with a passion for health equity, system reform and turning population insight into real‑world impact? We’re looking for an Executive Commissioning and Health Equity leader to join our Executive Team and shape the future of primary healthcare across the Murrumbidgee.
In this pivotal executive role, you’ll provide end‑to‑end leadership of commissioning and priority population portfolios, ensuring investment decisions are evidence‑informed, equity‑driven and focused on improving access, experience and outcomes for our communities.

What you’ll do
Provide executive leadership for end‑to‑end commissioning, embedding consistent, equity‑focused commissioning principles across the organisation
Lead major commissioning, procurement and contracting decisions, ensuring services are outcome‑focused, well governed and financially sustainable
Oversee priority population portfolios including Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Suicide Prevention, Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing, Healthy Ageing and Palliative Care
Ensure population health intelligence, performance data, evaluation and lived‑experience insights inform investment decisions and continuous improvement
Build and maintain senior system relationships with government agencies, health partners, Aboriginal organisations, providers and communities
Provide high‑level advice, assurance and reporting to the CEO, Executive Team and Board on commissioning performance, risk and outcomes
Lead, mentor and develop senior teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and innovation
Drive improvements to commissioning governance, systems, policies and reporting across the organisation
Essential criteria
Tertiary qualifications in Health Management or a related discipline
Senior executive experience leading end‑to‑end commissioning, funding or complex service systems in health, social services or the public sector
Demonstrated expertise in commissioning practice using a population health and health equity lens
Proven ability to provide executive‑level governance, risk oversight and strategic advice to Boards and senior leaders
Strong system leadership skills, with the ability to build influence and effective partnerships across government, providers and communities
High‑level analytical, strategic thinking and communication capability
NSW Driver Licence and ability to pass a Criminal History Check
Experience working within primary health care or with priority populations will be highly regarded.
