Carers Support Group Grant
Carer support groups provide a safe and welcoming space for carers to share knowledge, tips and advice, and to connect with local services. By fostering connection and shared learning, these groups support carers’ mental health, social wellbeing, and resilience, including during periods of loss and bereavement.
Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network is seeking expressions of interest from community groups and/or organisations to establish or maintain carer support groups for unpaid carers of people with a life‑limiting illness, including dementia.
What support is available
Successful groups will be supported with:
Access to training to establish and run a carer support group, delivered by Dementia Australia
Practical tools and resources to support carer group activities
Funding to support carer group activity
