Session 1: Orientation to the Murrumbidgee Region GP Antenatal Shared Care Program
For GPs who are interested in providing shared care in pregnancy, and GPs who want an update on first trimester care. GPs who attended orientation training in 2019/2020 do not need to attend the whole day. This morning session will be presented by local Obstetricians, GP Obstetricians and Midwives.
8.30am – 1.00pm:
Orientation to the Antenatal Shared Care Program & agreed levels of risk in pregnancy
Resources for Antenatal Shared Care Program - checklist, brochure and national guidelines
Recommended investigations in early pregnancy
Get healthy in pregnancy
Midwife “booking in” 14 week visit, classes and services
Diabetes Related to Pregnancy Clinic, WWBH
Dating and NT scans, and non-invasive pre-natal testing
Case studies: Nuchal Translucency screening, anti-depressants, asthma, effect of drugs in lactation, thyroid, hypertension, vaccinations and BMI obesity pathway protocols.
Session 2: Update to the Murrumbidgee Region GP Antenatal Shared Care Program
For all GPs attending Session 1 today and GPs who attended previous orientation training in pregnancy care.

Please note: For GPs to be listed on the Options for Antenatal (pregnancy) Shared Care Brochure 2021-2022, you need to attend both sessions every 3 years. For GPs who attended orientation training in 2019/2020, and are already listed with the program, you need to attend at least one 2 hour update session each year to remain listed.
