Search Reproductive & Sexual Health: Nurse led models of care webinar

The availability of abortion care in regional and remote areas of NSW often depends on the skills and abilities of nurses and midwives to facilitate access to choices for that care.

This is especially relevant now with the legislated changes to prescribing in NSW last year.

Held on 26 May or 3 June (12:00 pm to 1:00 pm) the webinar will talk about establishing and leading a nurse led model of abortion care:

  • What that means

  • What it might look like

  • How to establish a service

  • Build the support needed for success

Building on the approach to patient centred care and also technical knowledge, the webinar will also highlight the importance of nurses in both advocating for the service and then delivering abortion care in their regions.
