Become a MATES Connector

A Globally Recognised LivingWorks SafeTALK Course

Join us for a free, half-day Connector session delivered by MATES in Construction NSW. This evidence-based workshop equips everyday people – aged 16 and above – to become suicide alert helpers on site or in the community. No prior experience is needed.

Workshop Details

  • Date & Time: 8:00am start – runs for 4 hours (including breaks)

  • Cost: Free

  • Attire: Casual office wear

  • Food: Light refreshments will be provided

🟢 Connectors are easy to spot – they wear the green MATES sticker.

What Is a Connector?

A Connector is:

  • A mate who looks out for their workmates

  • The go-to person when someone needs to talk

  • Someone who notices when others aren’t themselves

  • A person trained to recognise the signs that someone is struggling – and help them access support

  • Connectors play a critical role in suicide prevention.

Important Info

  • Limited to 30 participants – first come, first served

  • MATES reserve the right to cancel Workshop if minimum numbers aren't met
