Student Wellbeing and Suicide Prevention Workshops – Kooringal High School

Kooringal High School will deliver a structured wellbeing initiative for Year 9 and 10 students during Term 1, 2026, tailored to students’ gender identity, cultural background and lived experience.

The program will deliver nationally recognised, evidence-based workshops including Tomorrow Man, Tomorrow Woman, Woman-Kind and ManMade. These programs are designed to strengthen emotional literacy, reduce stigma around mental health and enhance suicide prevention awareness among young people.

Workshops will be delivered during school hours to ensure accessibility and strong student participation. Sessions will be gender-specific and led by experienced facilitators specialising in youth wellbeing, mental health literacy and social connection. Each student will participate in one full workshop.

To reinforce learning outcomes, the school will deliver post-session engagement activities following the workshops. The Head Teacher Wellbeing will oversee program coordination, internal communication and student follow-up, ensuring the initiative is well integrated into the school’s broader wellbeing framework.
