The Resilience Project – Coleambally Central School
Coleambally Central School will deliver The Resilience Project as a whole-school and community wellbeing initiative aimed at strengthening mental health literacy, suicide prevention and emotional wellbeing.
The initiative will be delivered through structured lessons focused on gratitude, empathy, mindfulness and emotional literacy. These evidence-informed sessions are designed to give students practical tools to understand and manage emotions, build resilience and develop supportive relationships.
The project will be implemented across the school community. Teachers will be supported through targeted training and professional development, enabling consistent and confident delivery of the program. Students will participate through classroom-based learning, while parents and community members will be engaged through dedicated information and engagement sessions.
By involving students, educators and families, the initiative aims to increase community-wide awareness of mental health, strengthen help-seeking confidence across age groups and reinforce shared responsibility for wellbeing.
Coleambally Central School will provide a safe and connected environment where young people feel supported to express their emotions, access help and build lifelong resilience skills.
