Wellbeing and Suicide Prevention Program – Temora High School
Temora High School will deliver a nine-month Wellbeing and Suicide Prevention Program from September 2025 to June 2026, focused on strengthening youth mental health, resilience and connection to school and community.
The program supports students in Years 7–12 and builds on the school’s strong culture of belonging and student engagement. A range of evidence-based activities will be delivered across the school year, providing young people with practical skills, shared language and safe spaces to talk about wellbeing.
Program elements include gender-specific emotional literacy workshops through Tomorrow Man and Tomorrow Woman, motivational and engagement sessions with Burn Bright, accredited Teen Mental Health First Aid training, expressive movement therapy with Nikki Visage, and mindset and life skills development delivered through Habitus Lifehacks.
Together, these activities aim to strengthen emotional literacy, increase mental health knowledge, reduce stigma around help-seeking and support positive coping strategies.
Expected outcomes include improved student wellbeing, greater confidence in recognising and responding to mental health concerns, and stronger connections between students, staff and the wider community.
