Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) has delivered more than $150,000 in funding to assist bushfire affected communities as part of its third round of Bushfire Recovery Grants

The Murrumbidgee Asthma Collaborative is advising all community members in the region who have breathing difficulties related to asthma, hay fever and sinus problems to begin their preparations prior to the spring thunderstorm season.

Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) is expecting more community members to come forward with those aged 16 to 39 years now eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.

Vaccination appointments can be made at participating Murrumbidgee region general practices, Aboriginal Medical Centres or Commonwealth vaccination hubs in Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Young, Gundagai and Deniliquin.

Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) is encouraging residents of the Griffith, Hillston and Lake Cargelligo areas to come forward for vaccination as soon as possible.

Additional vaccination appointments are available at Hillston Medical Centre, Lake Cargelligo Family Practice as well as Griffith’s Commonwealth funded Vaccination Hub and Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service with several increasing their capacity to cope with higher demand.

From Monday 12 July 2021, the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine will be available at several participating general practices throughout the Murrumbidgee region.

The Pfizer vaccine is currently being offered to people aged 40-59, and anybody under the age of 40 who also meets additional eligibility criteria. The vaccine is also available at Murrumbidgee region general practice respiratory clinics in Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Young, Gundagai and Deniliquin.

Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) will be hosting an online Mental Health Literacy workshop on Tuesday 13 July from 10am to 1pm. The workshop is open to those with lived experience, mental health advocates and health professionals and aims to examine and finalise focus areas and develop localised activities to address mental health service and support gaps.
