Major funding boost to support care for older people in the Murrumbidgee
Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) has recently received funding to support the provision of a range of initiatives in aged care across the Murrumbidgee Region.
The funding is part of the Australian Government’s response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.

Living Well Your Way initiative seeks co-design collaborators
Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) and Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) have partnered to redesign the way care is provided for people with common chronic conditions in the Murrumbidgee. Suicide prevention and self care guide for region’s first responders now available
An important new suicide prevention and self-care resource for the Murrumbidgee region’s first responders has launched today to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day.
The guide has been developed by the Murrumbidgee Local Response Group which includes Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN), Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD), NSW Police and Wellways in consultation with local first responders.

Prepare now for asthma season
The Murrumbidgee Asthma Collaborative is advising all community members in the region who have breathing difficulties related to asthma, hay fever and sinus problems to begin their preparations prior to the spring thunderstorm season.
MPHN asks for patience when booking COVID-19 vaccination
Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) is expecting more community members to come forward with those aged 16 to 39 years now eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.
Vaccination appointments can be made at participating Murrumbidgee region general practices, Aboriginal Medical Centres or Commonwealth vaccination hubs in Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Young, Gundagai and Deniliquin.
MPHN encourages COVID-19 vaccination appointments
Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) is encouraging residents of the Griffith, Hillston and Lake Cargelligo areas to come forward for vaccination as soon as possible.
Additional vaccination appointments are available at Hillston Medical Centre, Lake Cargelligo Family Practice as well as Griffith’s Commonwealth funded Vaccination Hub and Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service with several increasing their capacity to cope with higher demand.
