Murrumbidgee Community Wellbeing and Suicide Prevention Grants 2025-26
As part of its ongoing commitment to improving mental health and community wellbeing across the region, Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network is investing $407,000 in Community Wellbeing and Suicide Prevention Grants for 2025–26. These grants support locally led initiatives that strengthen connection, build resilience, improve mental health literacy and reduce suicide risk, with funding directed to projects that respond to the unique needs of communities across the Murrumbidgee.
Federation Council will deliver the Vibe Check Youth Mental Health Intervention Project across the local government area, strengthening mental health awareness and response capability within sports clubs and youth organisations.
Lutheran School Wagga Wagga will deliver an integrated, school-wide approach to mental wellbeing to support students, staff and families, recognising the increasing complexity of student mental health needs.
Providing free, early intervention support for students experiencing mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, self-doubt and suicidal ideation.
A series of free therapeutic and social group programs supporting women’s mental wellbeing and social connection in Wagga and surrounding communities.
Coleambally Central School will deliver The Resilience Project as a whole-school and community wellbeing initiative aimed at strengthening mental health literacy, suicide prevention and emotional wellbeing.
HYPE – Helping Young People Evolve, delivered by Centacare SWNSW, is a community-focused event designed to support, empower and connect young people across the Griffith region.
Kooringal High School will deliver a structured wellbeing initiative for Year 9 and 10 students during Term 1, 2026, tailored to students’ gender identity, cultural background and lived experience.
