Procurement Lead

Are you ready to drive procurement strategies that directly impact healthcare outcomes in regional NSW? Join our team as a Procurement Lead specialising in health procurement and play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards.

The Procurement Lead will be responsible for ensuring MPHN sources and engages external providers of goods and services in a manner that makes the best use of organisational resources, demonstrates good governance, probity and compliance with corporate and statutory obligations, value for money and the general public, so suppliers and funders can have confidence in our decision making and procurement activities. 

The Procurement Lead will work closely with the Senior Manager Commissioning, Commissioning Lead and Contracts and Performance Lead to provide direction and guidance in procurement management activities.

Essential Criteria  

  • A sound understanding of the Australian health system, how healthcare is delivered, funded, and managed.

  • Ability to apply systems thinking and problem-solving skills to inform the design and implementation of solutions.

  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement expertise with demonstrated interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing an effective team to achieve outcomes.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to identify and mitigate risk and applying this in a procurement and outsourced contract environment.

  • Proven ability to lead and empower teams to achieve optimal business outcomes.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for communicating with a range of different audiences.
