LGBTQIA+ Health
LGBTQIA+ people deserve health care that is safe, respectful, inclusive and responsive to their individual needs.
This section brings together information, resources and support pathways to help improve health outcomes for LGBTQIA+ communities across the Murrumbidgee region, and to support health professionals and services to provide affirming, person-centred care.
LGBTQIA+ Health Needs Assessment
Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) released the LGBTQIA+ Health Needs Assessment, revealing significant challenges faced by the local LGBTQIA+ community when accessing healthcare.
The assessment shows the compounded disadvantage LGBTQIA+ community members experience due to a lack of safe and inclusive healthcare services, with people delaying or avoiding seeking healthcare due to fear of discrimination or judgment.
