National Cancer Screening Register: are you integrated?
The National Cancer Screening Register (NCSR) provides a single electronic record for each Australian participating in the bowel and cervical screening programs.
The Australian Government would like all general practices to integrate their clinical software with the NCSR.
The three main functions of the NCSR are to:
send invitations and reminder letters to participants
provide a safety net for when a person is at risk
provide access to your patients’ screening information.
Practices yet to register can refer to the Quick Start Guide for Healthcare Providers.
The NCSR team can also help guide practices that are seeking to integrate with the NCSR through the registration process: book a time.
