New Home Detox Registered Nurse

Calvary Riverina Drug and Alcohol Centre would like to introduce you to Bronte, their new Home Detox Registered Nurse. Bronte has been working over the past year in their residential service.  

If you are supporting a patient who you think may be suitable for this program, please email Bronte at Riv-homedetoxprogram@calvarycare.org.au or contact the centre on 02 6932 6800.  

Things to take into consideration with home detox:

  • the patient must have a support person at home while they are undergoing withdrawal

  • not all substances are appropriate for a home detox

  • detox will commence on a Monday and finish on a Friday.

Part of Bronte’s role is to work with the GP and patient to plan a safe withdrawal and also to work with the patient after withdrawal to ensure they have the most appropriate supports surrounding them to optimise success.  

Bronte works Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
