Attendees at this year’s Henty Machinery Field Days, running from 17 to 19 September, will have the opportunity to take advantage of free health checks and vaccinations, courtesy of Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN).

Located at the Country Lifestyle Pavilion, MPHN will be present on all three days from 9 am to 4 pm, offering vital health services to the rural community.

This year, MPHN will be providing a free pop-up vaccination clinic and health information in collaboration with Vecare Holbrook, Henty Medical Centre, and Lockhart Medical Practice, as well as health checks conducted by University of Wollongong students.

MPHN’s pop-up vaccination clinic will provide free influenza, Japanese encephalitis, and COVID-19 vaccines.

MPHN’s Clinical Programs and Emergency Response Manager Peta Anderson said the Henty Machinery Field Days provide a valuable opportunity for people in rural areas to check in with their health.

‘We’re here to make it as convenient as possible for you to stay up to date with your vaccinations and health checks,’ Ms Anderson said.

‘We know how busy life on the land can be, and not everyone has easy access to healthcare services where they live, so we’re encouraging everyone to take a few minutes out of their day to come and visit us in the pavilion.

‘Whether it’s getting a vaccination, having a quick health check, or simply talking to our team about any health concerns, we’re happy to help point you in the right direction.

‘We also have lots of information on mental health services and the support available in the region, because we know mental wellbeing is just as important as physical health.

‘Our aim is to ensure that everyone leaves Henty feeling more informed and better supported.’

MPHN invites everyone attending Henty Machinery Field Days to visit the MPHN site, take care of their health, and learn more about the services available in their region.
