MPHN Board Chair Dr Jodi Culbert said Julie is well known to many in the primary healthcare industry, and is currently a valued member of MPHN’s Senior Leadership Team in the role of Executive – Integration and Partnerships.

“Julie has worked for MPHN in its various iterations for more than 20 years and is well placed to continue to lead MPHN towards its vision of Well People, Resilient Communities during this period as Acting CEO,” Dr Culbert said.

Melissa Neal welcomed Julie’s appointment as Acting CEO and together they have been working for the past few months as Julie transitions into her new role.

“I have great confidence in Julie as Acting CEO during my absence and we have been working hard over the past few months to ensure this transition is smooth and seamless. I look forward to returning later this year to see how activities have progressed in collaboration with our partners,” Ms Neal said.

Additionally, Narelle Mills, currently MPHN’s Senior Manager Commissioning, has been appointed to Acting Executive – Integration and Partnerships to backfill Julie’s position during this period.

Please join with us in wishing Melissa all the very best for the safe arrival of her baby, and congratulating Julie and Narelle on their acting appointments.

Melissa’s last day in the office is Friday 19 March 2021.
