General Practice Visits

MPHN’s Clinical Program and Emergency Response Manager is available to visit general practices across the region to provide hands-on support, guidance, and training in vaccine management and immunisation delivery.

These practice visits are a valuable opportunity to strengthen systems, upskill staff, and ensure alignment with national immunisation standards.

What We Can Help With

During a practice visit, we can assist with:

  • Immunisation Support: Providing up-to-date information, resources, and guidance for immunisation providers to help ensure safe and effective vaccine delivery.

  • Reviewing Overdue Lists: Helping practices identify and follow up with children overdue for immunisation to improve coverage rates and reduce the risk of preventable disease outbreaks.

  • AIR Online Access Training: Delivering step-by-step support and training for staff to confidently navigate and use the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) online system.

  • Cold Chain Failure Support: Offering immediate advice and support if your vaccine fridge experiences a temperature breach or malfunction.

  • Cold Chain Procedure Training: Conducting onsite education sessions to ensure your team understands cold chain best practices and responsibilities.

  • Vaccine Fridge Data Logging: Assisting with logging and interpreting data for accreditation, managing cold chain breaches, and setting up new vaccine refrigerators.

  • Data Logger Demonstrations: Demonstrating how to use, program, download, and maintain data loggers to monitor vaccine fridge performance.

Whether you’re onboarding new staff, troubleshooting an issue, or preparing for accreditation, our tailored support visits are here to help your practice stay confident and compliant.
