RACGP Consultation: the sixth edition Standards for General Practices

The RACGP Expert Committee – Standards for General Practices has developed the sixth edition Standards. The following was examined during this process:  

  • GP and practice feedback about the fifth edition of the Standards

  • the Quintuple Aim for healthcare improvement

  • national and international literature reviews

  • recommendations made by the Department of Health and Aged Care's accreditation reviews

  • the National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards

  • the principles of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) Guidelines and principles for the development of health and social care standards.

GPs and their colleagues are invited to view the complete draft of the sixth edition (or an abridged draft containing indicators only) and provide feedback.

The consultation closes Sunday 20 October 2024.
