Development of lung and bowel cancer HealthPathways
MPHN has been successful in obtaining a grant from the Cancer Institute NSW to work with key stakeholders across the Murrumbidgee region in the development of optimal care pathways for people with lung and bowel cancer.
This is a 12 month project and will develop evidence based, standardised working methodology agreed and jointly used by Murrumbidgee clinicians. These pathways will facilitate early diagnosis, comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and timely treatment of cancer, providing benefits to patients and the health system in terms of cost, outcomes and quality of life.
This project will form part of the overarching Murrumbidgee HealthPathways program.
