2024/25 Annual Report marks a year of impact and innovation

Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) has released its 2024/25 Annual Report, highlighting a year of strong partnerships, local innovation and measurable impact across the region’s 508 communities.

MPHN CEO Stewart Gordon said the report reflects the organisation’s commitment to delivering connected, equitable healthcare.

“This past year has been one of listening, learning and building relationships,” Mr Gordon said.

“I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many passionate people across our region, all deeply committed to improving health outcomes in the Murrumbidgee.

“I am confident MPHN is well positioned to continue making a meaningful impact and delivering great outcomes for this region.”

The report outlines key achievements including more than 78,000 mental health service occasions, over 17,000 service occasions for First Nations people, and 7,596 patient encounters through the Living Well, Your Way initiative. MPHN also supported 1,566 young people through headspace centres and delivered 13,546 psychosocial support services.

Financially, MPHN reported a four per cent increase in revenue, reaching $45.2 million, with $6.8 million invested in critical programs and infrastructure. In 2024/25, MPHN supported the launch of two Medicare Mental Health Centres in Wagga Wagga and Young, launched the GP-based Wagga Wagga Urgent Care Service, and introduced new initiatives including The Doctor’s Table and the Murrumbidgee First Nations GP Toolkit. Targeted funding also enabled new services for people experiencing homelessness and children with developmental needs.
