NEW: Emergency Medicine for Rural GPs Live Workshop – Bathurst, 21 May, 7:30am
RACGP Rural is partnering with the NSW Government’s Health Education and Training Institute (HETI) to bring their Mobile Simulation Centre (MSC) to Bathurst Hospital for a full day workshop, held in the state of the art, HETI mobile simulated clinical training facility and in the Bathurst Hospital. This accredited activity will enhance your rural emergency medicine skills as you rotate through seven hands-on simulated scenarios that reflect real rural and remote challenges. There is a strong emphasis on common rural emergency medicine situations and the coordination and communication with other healthcare professionals. Participants will also develop strategies for self-care, stress management and debriefing. All the scenarios are written by experienced rural GPs from actual cases. This workshop is open to registered general practitioners, general practice registrars or RACGP resident/intern members. It attracts 40 CPD points and is eligible for a 1 day Rural Procedural Grant. Attendees may also be eligible for funding under the NSW RDN’s Health Workforce Scholarship Program. Check your eligibility here.
