Kidney Health Australia: Managing Resistant Hypertension in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)

Managing Resistant Hypertension in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)

One in 3 adults in Australia has hypertension, but only 11% of adults whose high blood pressure has been detected have it under control. Hypertension remains an important modifiable CKD risk factor that can be difficult to reliably diagnose and treat. In this activity we explore the difference between resistant hypertension and pseudo-resistant hypertension, and how hypertension and CKD relate. Finally, best practice treatments in the primary care setting will be discussed for individuals living with CKD.
