The Way Back Support Service

The Way Back suicide prevention model provides support to people most at‐risk of suicide: This support assists a person to stay safe and connect with existing health and community services during a period of high risk and vulnerability.

Eligibility: People aged 16+ who have recently attempted suicide or those at risk of suicide and lacking support. 
Cost: All services are fully funded

Location: MPHN region. Support workers are located in, or outreach to, all communities in the Murrumbidgee region.

How to access the service: The Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) Community Mental Health Teams, Inpatient Units and Mental Health Emergency Consultation Service (MHECS) are able to refer people on discharge from hospital, to the Service.

Referrals can be made to Wellways Australia directly or via MPHN Central Access and Navigation Service.
