ACRRM’s Paediatric Emergencies for Rural Generalists course equips Rural Generalists and GPs with the essential skills and confidence to manage paediatric emergencies in the crucial first hours of a life-threatening illness or injury. Designed by Rural Generalists for Rural Generalists, this hands-on course is tailored to the unique challenges of providing emergency care in rural and remote settings.
This three-day program includes 8 hours of self-directed online learning followed by two days of immersive, practical workshops. The course meets the Australian Resuscitation Council standards for Paediatric Advanced Life Support and provides training in critical areas such as recognising and managing deterioration in children, paediatric airway and trauma skills, and team leadership in emergency situations.
Participants will refine their skills through realistic clinical simulations and interactive training, ensuring they can respond swiftly and effectively when faced with paediatric emergencies.
